Advice

Advice for parents

To make sure your children get the most out of their lessons, please remember to:
  • Equip them correctly: anorak, helmet, mittens, goggles, sun cream, handkerchiefs, boots and skis that are the right size and adjusted.
  • Mark their clothes and skis with their name.
  • Avoid following the lessons too closely and calling out to your child during lessons.
  • Let us know if your child has any health problems.
  • Helmets are strongly recommended for children taking lessons with the ESF and are compulsory for timed competitions, competition courses, snowboarding and freestyle.
  • Please leave it to the instructors to decide on any change of level.
  • Your child is on holiday and the aim is for them to enjoy themselves and want to come back. So respect their pace and don't try to make them a champion before their time!

General recommendations

For the lessons to run smoothly, please respect the following rules:
  • The lesson card can be downloaded from the confirmation email or from the My ESF application. (It is no longer necessary to print it out).
  • The instructor has the list of pupils in their group on their smartphone and calls out the names at the start of each session.
  • Each lesson card is issued on a personal basis.
  • Be on time for the meeting point for lessons, whether group or private: any delay is included in the lesson, and for the timed tests:

  • You must have a ski pass for the lessons. Which ski pass do I need for group lessons with the ESF?

  • Be suitably equipped and covered.
  • It is up to each client and/or pupil to take out any insurance they deem necessary (such as E-gloo Protect). Check in advance that you have adequate insurance cover for you and your family. Click here to find out more about E-GLOO PROTECT insurance
